The last week or two have continued to be really busy at The Red Lion as my boys have been preparing for the changes to the bar. From tomorrow David tells me that we are going to be serving Carling, Thatchers Gold, Strongbow Dark Fruits and Johns Smiths and from Thursday we will also be serving Peroni. We’ve already added Bateman’s Hooker as our guest ale for the six nations rugby season, alongside XB and Black Sheep. Gin has also moved on a pace with Bombay Sapphire and Whitley Neill’s Rhubarb and Ginger gin being added with a range of Fever Tree tonics.
I’ve continued to meet lots of other dogs who have brought their ‘owners’ in for a refreshing drink to reward them for looking after them. The Six Nations has brought a lot of people in in the last couple of weeks with all of the first six matches being shown in the bar. All of the coming matches are also being shown, so don’t miss out, come and join us.
Richie has continued to be really busy in the kitchen and he says that booking is now a really sensible thing to do to ensure that you get your meal when you want it. Bookings have also opened for lunch on Mother’s Day, 31st March, with sittings at 12 noon and 2.30pm.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all very soon and don’t worry I’m still snoring on a regular basis.
