David Mason - Landlord

Whilst Assistant Diocesan Secretary for the Diocese of Lincoln,  one of his many roles was to manage The Old Palace Hotel, a 32 bedroom 'country house' hotel and wedding reception venue.  As the diocese's business priorities changed he initially oversaw its complete restructure and then its eventual sale.

David has previously worked in various hospitality roles, his first two jobs being a dishwasher in a hotel and café, and then spending several years at The Oxford Playhouse and Creation Theatre in both box office and front of house positions.

Teddie - The Landlady

Teddie welcomes all of our guests and particularly their dog friends to the pub.  She is ably assisted by her brother cats Badger and Buttons, who mainly work behind the scenes and only occasionally appear in the bar.

Teddie has now produced her own doggy menu for all her friends to enjoy.
